FAQS

Understanding This Week's List

What does it mean when a company goes into administration?+

Administration is a formal insolvency process where an independent administrator takes control of a company to try to rescue it, achieve a better outcome for creditors than liquidation, or realise value from its assets. It's often the first step before a business or its assets are sold.

How often is this list updated?+

The underlying database is refreshed daily as new appointment notices are published. This weekly report is compiled and published every Monday, summarising the previous seven days of activity.

How can I subscribe for more information?+

Click "Get Full Access" or any listing above to start a subscription. Once subscribed, you'll get insolvency practitioner contact details, company financials and real-time alerts for every new administration, in addition to everything shown on this page.

Can I get this list sent to me automatically?+

Yes. Subscribers receive real-time alerts as new administrations are filed, rather than waiting for the weekly summary.

What happens after a company goes into administration?+

The appointed administrator reviews the company's position and usually pursues one of three routes: rescuing the company as a going concern, achieving a better result for creditors than liquidation (often via a sale of the business or its assets), or realising assets to distribute to secured and preferential creditors. Many sales happen quickly, so early interest matters.

How do I acquire a business that has gone into administration?+

Once a company is listed here, the next step is to register interest with the appointed insolvency practitioner, who manages the sale process and can share financial and asset information under an NDA. Subscribing gives you those contact details directly, so you can approach the practitioner before a sale process becomes widely known.
